The affected area can also be disinfected with the usage of thyme tea or with a cup of water that contains 3-5 drops of the essential oil.

Another good and effective home remedies for abrasion is home made salves and ointments made with tea tree, calendula and comfrey.

One of the famous home remedy for treating abrasions is Aloe. It has soothing, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It will also help in healing all kinds of wounds on the skin including abrasions. One should use the pure gel for topical application.

Another effective home remedy for abrasion is the herb Calendula, which is anti-inflammatory, astringent and antiseptic. Calendula is said to promote new skin growth and to stop the bleeding.
