Best labor book! September 1, 2010 S. Wilson (Little Rock, AR) This book was so informative from an internal perspective. Meaning, I was really able to let go of my emotions, fears, thrills, etc about labor and really learn to listen to myself. It wasn't judgmental about natural vs. medicated labor but really just asks you to talk and listen to yourself about what you want and give you the tools on how to ask for it or talk about it. I highly recommend this for anyone who was and still may be on the fence about their labor.
A must read for any pregnant woman whether it's your 1st or 5th+ August 31, 2010 Kenna (Hollywood, CA) This is such a great book and has awesome facts in it. It really makes you feel at ease and prepare for the labor process with an open mind and gets rid of any fear. The pain coping techniques alone make this book worth it's weight in gold.

Very different book. Takes you through your inner emotions and how to better cope with the labor and delivery process. Had some good points. A complement for your other books.

This book opened my mind when it comes to pregnancy and childbirth. I felt informed and inspired and awed as I read it. I fully recommend this fantastic book.

I found this book pretty useless. A lot of it deals with "birth art," which seems like it would be useful for someone who had a previous traumatic birth experience, but that's not me, so I found the excessive birth-art stories & examples irrelevant. A few of the pain-management techniques are good, but nothing you won't see elsewhere (or can't figure out for yourself). I'm not exactly sure why this book is so popular, and after reading it, I'm very glad I didn't sign up for a course based on it!
